CONTACT LENS TYPES

Today's contact lenses are available in many different styles and designs.
Ask Dr. Seymour which type is right for you!


  GAS PERMEABLE CONTACTS
Commonly known as "GP"or "hard" contacts. Made of rigid plastic that allows more oxygen to pass through them and are recommended for nearsightness, farsightness, and astigmatic correction. Also available in Bifocal design.

  EXTENDED WEAR LENS
Can be worn up to 7 days, or as advised by the doctor. Preserving ocular health requires removal and disposal/replacement or cleaning (depending on lens type) every 7 days.

   TORIC LENS
Contacts designed to correct astigmatism. Available in both Gas Permeable and Soft lens styles. Also available in Disposable and Frequent Replacement designs.

   COLORED CONTACTS
Lens to change the color of our eyes or to enhance your original color. Available in various colors and brands

  MULTIFOCAL/BIFOCAL CONTACT
A bifocal contact allows the patient who normally wears a Bifocal or Trifocal the option of contact lenses. The design of this contact provides both distance and near point focal ranges. These contacts come in various designs and brands.

FREQUENT REPLACEMENT/DISPOSABLE LENS
Depending on brand, can be worn two weeks(Disposable) or up to two months (Frequent Replacement) with proper cleaning care and discarding contacts upon doctors specifications.
