Over one million people have reduced or eliminated their need for corrective lenses by undergoing corrective eye surgery called LASIK! Our office works in cooperation with the Laurel Eye Clinic when referring a candidate for LASIK correction. The LEC surgical team has been extremely successful in reducing nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism through both conventional and custom LASIK procedures. Offices are convieniently located around the state, including nearby Altoona and Brookville. At the time of this writing, fees for surgery at the Laurel Eye Clinic are as follows:
- Preoperative evaluation...........$250.00
If you are a contact lens wearer, you must stop wearing contacts for two weeks prior to having your preoperative evaluation.
The preoperative evaluation is performed at our office by Dr. Seymour.
He will determine if you are a suitable candidate for LASIK correction.
We will then schedule an appointment for you with the Laurel Eye Clinic so that you may meet your surgeon. Your surgeon will determine if additional testing is needed, and your surgery date will be finalized.
The preoperative evaluation fee is payable to Dr. Seymour on the day of your evaluation.
There is no additional fee for your intial meeting or additional testing with the surgeon
at the Laurel Eye Clinic
- Surgical Fee.......$1750.00 per eye for Custom Wave Front Lasik, Conventional Lasik, CK or PRK
The surgical fee is what you are paying for the actual LASIK procedure.
This fee is payable the morning of surgery to the Laurel Eye Clinic.
- Postoperative care.............$550.00
Postoperative care with regular check ups is provided by Dr. Seymour for a period of one year.
This fee is payable to Dr. Seymour at your first postoperative visit,
which will be the day after surgery.
