Polarized:
Polarized lenses reduce glare, making them great for use around lakes and oceans. They also are handy for a wide variety of sports. Polarized lenses possess a filter that will eliminate the amount of reflected light that enters the eye. This filter will eliminate the reflected glare which is most noticable on water, snow, or concrete and asphalt surfaces.
For years, polarized sunglasses have been used by boaters and fisherman to reduce glare from the water. In recent years, the benefits of polarized sunglasses have been realized by a variety of other outdoor sports enthusiasts as well as by drivers and general use wearers.
Polarized lenses are available in a variety of colors including Light and Dark Gray, light and Dark Brown, Yellow, and Green.
Gray:
Gray reduces the maximum amount of visible light, and allows full and true color transmission. It is relatively comfortable for long periods of time and recommended for all purpose sun wear, driving , fishing, sports activities, water activities. Gray polarized lens gives a natural color contrast.
Brown:
Brown filters more blue light, improves visual acuity and provides excellent contrast and improves depth perception. Apart from driving it is best for sports such as golfing, skiing and boating.
Yellow:
Yellow provides high contrast and filters out blue light. It improves depth perception. It is excellent for shooting, and in low light conditions, such as cloudy overcast situation, early morning dusk or night driving.
Pink:
Pink reduces glare and is best suited while working on a computer & driving.
Orange:
Orange increases contrast and blocks blue light. Best in overcast and partly sunny or cloudy situations. Orange is the most common lens used for Trap and sheet shooting because it enhances orange colored clay targets.
Green:
Green maintains good color balance. Used for tennis, driving and golf, as well as an all-purpose lens color.
Blue:
Blue is used in partly cloudy to sunny conditions. Used for tennis, golfing and snowmobiling. Blue is good for shooting green targets against a Desert background. Lets in maximum amount of blue light.
